Summer Park! :) - V6

Hi Everyone: (Check back for updates!)
I've been working on a park which, as y'all know, is the one get-together I really put effort into. This park is going to be different than usual though. We're doing a park exploration. Ask me for details. Here's the info:
What: Park. See above.
When: Thursday, June 11th. 11:30-4:00. We'll enter the woods @ 11:45. If you can't get there by 11:45 TELL ME BEFOREHAND.
Where: Same park as usual.
Chaperone: None.
To Bring: You definitely need to bring bottled water for yourself, clothes/shoes that can get dirty, and food. I suggest two bottles of H2O. LABEL THE WATER BOTTLE WITH YOUR INITIALS! I will bring a backpack that everyone will switch off carrying - we'll carry it in shifts. I will also provide a compass and a basic map.
Not to Bring: Don't bring a bunch of stuff you don't need unless you want to carry it around for four hours. That includes school stuff. Either drop your school stuff off home, leave it in the car, or don't bring any to school (hello? finals?)
Food: Bring a bag lunch - everything MUST be disposable. No containers, icepacks, or lunchboxes
Transport: Get a ride. I suggest carpooling or biking directly from school.
People: Me, Hungry, Dan, Martin, Gabe, Burke, Tuba. That's ALL.
Weather: Hopefully there will be good weather. If not, I will probably be rescheduling for Friday the 19th.

May Stuff - The Official Movie Info! V8

Hi Everyone:
What: X-Men Origins - Wolverine. A movie.
When: 5/29/09. AMC 20 changed their showtimes as of LAST NIGHT (ugh eggs) so now the time is messed up. It starts at 6:10pm. Get there as early as dinner will allow (although following the 30 minute rule is no longer a requirement). You MUST be able to get there at least by 6:00. Once two people are there, one person will go find seats while the other person waits for everyone else to get there. Meet by the ticket booth in the lobby.
Cost: $10.00 per ticket.
Movie Info: 1 hr, 47 min. PG-13.
People: Me, Hungry, Gabe, Dan, Burke, Tuba, Martin.
Transportation: If you need a ride, contact Kristi.

Hi everyone: Forget the weird box.net thing. Just forget it. Apparently you have to make an account or whatever and that's just stupid. Here's the new plan: If you want a copy of the brainstorm list (AKA if you're planning on ... planning ... something), please email me. DO NOT hit the reply button - send the email to my regular email.
Alright: The brainstorm list is a list of all the plan ideas I can think of (I'm sick of doing laser tag and Vgames over and over...And although I'd be quite happy to go to the park every couple of days, I'm sure most people don't feel that way). It includes several things that we haven't done before that I've heard about other people doing. It also includes some large scale projects. IF you want it and decide to plan one of the things that we've never talked about doing before, PLEASE talk to the group about it first - some of the ideas I'm not sure about. I'm not even sure if I'd like all of them. Or you can request the file (even if you don't want to plan anything) and then send me/tell me a list of whatever activities you DON'T want to do.

PS. I probably won't be planning anything for a little while. Because I won't be home much until the last weekend in May. That weekend I was thinking about planning something, but I'd really rather take a break for a while. I have other things I'd like to micromanage.

Awesome Bloing Gloing V2

I was bored in computer math and created a Visual Basic program that displays Boing Gloing bouncing very fast.

Email me if you want it.

What I did is I put it on the scheduled tasks so that when my mom logged on, it showed up. It was awesome! Here's how to do this

For XP:

Enter the user profile you want it to run in
Click Start
Go to Control Panel
Select Scheduled Tasks
Double Click Add Scheduled Task
Click OK to go to the next screen
Click the Browse Button
Find the BG exe and click on it and hit Open
Choose the option "When I log in"
Ignore the password stuff and hit next
Check the checkbox "Open advanced properties when I hit finish"
Click Finish
If you get an error, that's OK. Click OK.
The advanced properties window opens.
Check the checkbox "Run only if I'm logged on"
Hit OK
Log off and log on to see if it works

To remove the task

Open Scheduled Tasks again
Right click on the BG task
Click delete on the pop up menu

Most of you guys have XP. If you have Vista, email me and I'll tell you how to do it

To stop Bloing Gloing once he starts!!!

1. You must have another program open (Ex. Paint, Word, this internet site, anything) unless you are running Vista.
2. Press Alt-Tab.
3. Immediately after, press Alt-F4. (If you looked at this information between steps 2 and 3, you must restart step 2)
4. Bloing Gloing should disappear.

Julius Caesar - UPDATED

To everyone who's helping with the Caesar Project: There's been some scheduling problems we finally have the accurate info:
1st Rehearsal: Monday, April 27th. 6:30/7:00pm - 8:30pm.
2nd Rehearsal: Wednesday, April 29th. 2:30pm - 4:30pm. My mom will drive us from school, but get a ride home.
3rd Rehearsal: Thursday, April 30th. 6:3/7:00pm - 8:30pm.

1. All rehearsals are being held at MY HOUSE. If you need directions, email me.
2. Gabe is coming on Monday, so hopefully we can finish his section that day.
3. Don't forget your camera, props, and script.

PARKPARKPARK!! - V16 - FINAL

Well, we've done a summer, fall, and winter park right? So lets do a spring one!
When: WED. 4/15. 12:30pm-3:30pm.
Place: Same park as last time.
Chaperone: My mom.
What to bring: Sports stuff is encouraged but you don't have to bring any. There will be mud too. Deal with it.
Food: None provided. Martin says he'll bring 'treats' though, and won't take no for an answer. So yeah.
People: Me, Hungry, Gabe, Martin, Dan, Burke, Tuba
Weather: If the weather messes things up again...4/25?
Business: Hold it until we reach IIA Park Headquarters (the tree).

VGames 3/29 v3

This is Dan. I'll try to do the subtitles like Jessica does:
What: Video gaming at my house
When: 1:00 to 5:00 on 3/29.
Who: Me, Jessica, Tuba, Franklin, Gabe, Burke. Green = coming. Hungry can't come. Franklin doesn't know, because of a big LA project (remember the 100 years into the future?) And Burke is 90% sure he can come.
Games: Super Smash Bros. BRAWL!!!! Tuba is bringing BRAWL!!!! There will be 2 Wii controllers (from Tuba) and 2 Gamecube controllers (from my sources). Also Star Wars Battlefront II, maybe I'll rent Call to Duty for PS2 if it's a four player shooter game, maybe other games. Also Chess, cards, computer and other board games are avaliable.
NO BUSINESS (unless it's urgent or something)!
What to bring: Bring your TI 84+s if you want. NO DARWIN AWARDS

Laser Tag - Final Edition

Date: 3/10/09. Tuesday. No school.
Time: 6:30pm-9:00pm. The time change is optional. The laser tag won't actually start until 7:00, but if you can get there a half hour early (parents and dinner permitting), that's great. I will be there early for sure.
Chaperone: None.
Place: Zap Zone.
Cost: $4 per game. Three games. $12 total. Plus Vgames.
Transport: Get a ride.
