Oct. 8th Voting RESULTS

Hi Everyone:
The results are in from the voting for 10/8:
4 votes for Vgames VS 0 votes for Ltag and two nonvoters (gabe and dan)
VGAMES WINS BY A LANDSLIDE
3 votes for Park VS 3 votes for Minigolf. TIE.
However, Gabe's vote likely wont count cuz he likely cant come. See previous post's comments for details.
Also, I didn't vote. You all know I will vote park. Sorry.
WE WILL BE DOING PARK OR VGAMES (assuming dan plans his own suggestion - i sure aint planning vgames).

I will be planning the final info presently.

Oct. 8th Final Voting

OK, thanks to all of you that commented or had me comment for you. We've got two options: fall park or minigolf. Please vote. If you do not vote you are not allowed to complain if we do something you don't like.

If it rains the two options are Vgames @ Dan's or Ltag. Please vote on this too.

So post or comment or contact me with whether you'd rather do park or minigolf, and if you'd rather do Vgames or Ltag if it rains. The deadline for voting is FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 25th. After that I'll plan it and call/talk to everyone.

Hey y'all,
We have no school Oct. 8th. What should the group do? Please put suggestions in a comment. If you cant comment for some reason contact me by my normal email or phone. DONT HIT THE REPLY BUTTON (ahem, Burke). I WILL NOT GET THE MESSAGE FOR MANY MONTHS.

Hi Everyone:
Well, I'm back to planning stuff - kind of. I don't feel like planning anything new until I talk to everybody though, so I'm gonna kick off the school year with an old favorite...good ol' Ltag. RSVP as soon as you can - I'm contacting everybody last minute here!
When: Wed. 9/9/09. 7:0pm-9:30pm. The 2nd day of school.
Where: The usual.
Cost: $7 per game. 2 or 3 games. Do the math.
Chaperone: None.
Business: Unfortunately I think it's time for this again. We need to discuss some things as a group. PLEASE cooperate...If you cooperate it won't take as long.

Murray Lake

Time: This Wednesday. Parents drop off at my house at 1, if you don't know how to get there call me and i'll tell you if you dunno my phone number ask Dan or Jess your parents come at 6.30 and pick your butts up at my house.
What to Bring: Swimsuit unless you want to go au natural wich is NOT cool, towel (no wet peoples in our car!) and yeah sunscreen too would be cool no crisped people allowed.

Summer Park...V3. Again.

Hi Everyone:
I have officially decided that we are jinxed when it comes to the park. But, being perpetually obstinate, I am going to keep trying until it actually works. So here's the new information:
When: July 20th. Monday. 11am-4pm.
Where: The usual park.
To bring: Lunch (disposable). Water bottles labeled w/ initials.
Not to bring: Anything not mentioned above. Remember, I am providing ONE backpack that the entire group will switch off carrying for half hour segments. So don't bring a backpack.
Transport: Get a ride, bike, hire a DHM. Whatever.
People: Me, Hungry, Dan, Martin, Burke, Gabe, Tuba.
Weather: Now they're saying mostly sunny w/ 10% chance of rain. Hm...If it does rain on the 20th (our luck), we automatically reschedule for the 21st. If it rains the 21st too, we reschedule for the 22nd. Etc.

Life of e

What: Video shoot of Life Of Pi except it will be called "Life of e" (explanation is below)
Where: My house
When: 21st-24 from 1-5. come as many days as you want; Jessica, you should come as many as possible. Sorry Klovski, I know this is when you are on vacation, but it's the best time to do this
Who: Anyone in the group who's read Life of Pi.
Why: Because it's fun

It's life of e. e is a mathmatical number just like pi. It is represented by the formula
e = lim (n --> +infinity) (n + 1/n) ^n.
Now that probably doesn't mean anything to you guys so I'll just tell you it's 2.718281828... and it's irrational. Anyway, his name will be e.

park rescheduled AGAIN! NOOOOO

Hi Everyone:
THE PARK HAS BEEN CANCELED (again) DUE TO RAIN! I have no idea when I'm going to reschedule, so keep an eye on the blog and I'll let you know the info when I get it. In the meantime, I'll do another event thingy on the 19th to replace the park.
When: Friday the 19th from 1:00pm-4:00pm
Where: My house.

Summer Park! :) - V6

Hi Everyone: (Check back for updates!)
I've been working on a park which, as y'all know, is the one get-together I really put effort into. This park is going to be different than usual though. We're doing a park exploration. Ask me for details. Here's the info:
What: Park. See above.
When: Thursday, June 11th. 11:30-4:00. We'll enter the woods @ 11:45. If you can't get there by 11:45 TELL ME BEFOREHAND.
Where: Same park as usual.
Chaperone: None.
To Bring: You definitely need to bring bottled water for yourself, clothes/shoes that can get dirty, and food. I suggest two bottles of H2O. LABEL THE WATER BOTTLE WITH YOUR INITIALS! I will bring a backpack that everyone will switch off carrying - we'll carry it in shifts. I will also provide a compass and a basic map.
Not to Bring: Don't bring a bunch of stuff you don't need unless you want to carry it around for four hours. That includes school stuff. Either drop your school stuff off home, leave it in the car, or don't bring any to school (hello? finals?)
Food: Bring a bag lunch - everything MUST be disposable. No containers, icepacks, or lunchboxes
Transport: Get a ride. I suggest carpooling or biking directly from school.
People: Me, Hungry, Dan, Martin, Gabe, Burke, Tuba. That's ALL.
Weather: Hopefully there will be good weather. If not, I will probably be rescheduling for Friday the 19th.

May Stuff - The Official Movie Info! V8

Hi Everyone:
What: X-Men Origins - Wolverine. A movie.
When: 5/29/09. AMC 20 changed their showtimes as of LAST NIGHT (ugh eggs) so now the time is messed up. It starts at 6:10pm. Get there as early as dinner will allow (although following the 30 minute rule is no longer a requirement). You MUST be able to get there at least by 6:00. Once two people are there, one person will go find seats while the other person waits for everyone else to get there. Meet by the ticket booth in the lobby.
Cost: $10.00 per ticket.
Movie Info: 1 hr, 47 min. PG-13.
People: Me, Hungry, Gabe, Dan, Burke, Tuba, Martin.
Transportation: If you need a ride, contact Kristi.
