Hey guys. We're doing something a little different this time - the auto show. Please approach this with the right attitude so it's fun.
Date: Mon, Jan 16th. (no school)
Time: Leave @ 9:15am from my house. Return in afternoon
Place: Cobo Center
Transport: Tuba's mom can take everybody because she's going to Detroit for other stuff. No parking fee!
Cost: Tickets: $12 + People Mover + Food. Bring $25 & $1.50 IN QUARTERS for the people mover.
Food A restaurant. Bring $. We'll probably be eating pretty late (approx 2pm) so eat a good breakfast.
People: Jess, Trombone, Martin, Tuba, Dan, Gabe, Burke
Girlfriends: No.

Things to Note:
1) Don't bring your varsity jacket
2) We'll be sharing a single backpack - and yes, everyone is taking a turn carrying it. Bring what you need (snacks, water, camera, whatever) to Jess's house.
3) DONT BE LATE cuz we need to get to Cobo ASAP
4) Don't carry your wallet in your back pocket or jacket pocket

Additional Details!
ReplyDeleteParking: At a secure parking garage in Greektown that Tuba goes to all the time. It's less expensive and hectic than Cobo Center. We'll take a cheap people mover (approx $0.50) from there directly to Cobo Center.
Food: We'll eat when we're done at the auto show so EAT A GOOD BREAKFAST because we'll probably get out kind of late (2pm?). You can probably bring snacks (?) and maybe we should consider carrying a backpack for the group to share. We'll be eating somewhere within walking distance of our cars, in Greektown, though not necessarily at a Greek restaurant - we can decide which kind of restaurant we want when we get there. We're not buying food at the auto show because it's expensive, crappy, and limited. If you still want to, you can, but we will be going to a restaurant after.
Gabe: He would like to come but probably has wrestling in the morning. When he gets his schedule, he'll see if he can meet up with us somewhere at the show.
