Plea for Information

Hey guys. Long time no see, though hopefully either Dan will plan vgames for Thanksgiving break or he'll tell me he's not so I can plan a GHO or something (ahem). ANYWAY, I'm posting this because I need opinions on something:

So. Senior Trip. We made a LOT of progress at our last meeting (though it may not have felt like it) and we'd planned on meeting again over Xmas break, probably after the 1st of the year. Hopefully Stephany will have heard from Harvard by then and/or know if she can come. However, I have not heard from her and don't know where she's at on this, or if she'd be able to make the meeting. The question I propose for y'all is this: do you guys feel that you have enough questions/new information/business to take care of to warrant a meeting without Steph? Obviously if she has a direct answer for us by then, we'll need to meet, but if not, do you guys think its worth it?

Please think about this and let me know whenever I see y'all next, or via some random form of modern communication. I want group input though. Personally, I feel like we could ramp up some of the planning, but I need to know if you guys agree. Thanks!

Halloween Lockin V3

Hey guys. The next event on our agenda is the Halloween laser tag lock in. Some of us did this last year. It was cool. Here's the info:
Date: Sat 10/29 - Sun 10/30
Time: 10:30pm-6am.
What: Overnight unlimited laser tag. Awesome.
Cost: $30 member, $35 nonmember. To make up for this, I will not be planning anything w/ a cost in Nov and maybe not in Dec either.
People: Me, Trombone, Dan, Burke, Gabe, Tuba, Martin.
Transport: Carpooling is a viable option. If you have transport issues, tell me now. If you have a parent willing to drive (esp in the morning) please tell me that too.

Senior Trip Meeting + GHO - V6 (edt 9/19)

I wanted a senior trip meeting after dinner. Martin wanted to go out to dinner. Dan has to work but needs to be at the meeting...Read this post carefully so you understand what's going on.
Date: 9/24. Saturday
Time: Dinner @ 6, then back to my house until 11. The meeting will start circa 10pm because that's when Dan get off work. We'll finish the meeting w/ him there.
Place: Noodles & Co for dinner; my house/neighborhood for the rest
Transport: Trombone can drive us to dinner and back to my house. In return, we'll give him gas $. If you can't drive with him, figure the whole thing out yourself

Last Minute Thing. VFinal

Skating Memo

We talked about rollerskating. I said I'd plan it. Riverside is picky about what days of the week you're allowed to skate. Long story short, I'm looking at Friday, August 19th, staring @ 8pm.

The reason I'm telling you this now is because of band. I don't really understand how your preband camp stuff works, ESPECIALLY for SHS, though I thought preband was the thing where you're home at night. So I need to know if this is okay with you guys. If it isn't, we can wait on skating until late September I honestly don't care; I just want to know.

I must know AHEAD OF TIME (I have Good Reasons), so band people, please tell me if this works for you.

BTW: If you do the library's teen summer reading thing you get free admission to this.

Martin's Date of Surgery

Martin's surgery is on October 4th 2011, a Tuesday.

Dr. Irazaltz. @ Beaumont Hospital.

Will not be able to eat anything after midnight the morning of surgery. Will be at hospital for a week after surgery - until he can use crutches, climb stairs, and can eat regular food.

We get to go see him. :)

Kensington VFinal (edt. 7/6)

Hey guys.
Date: July 7th. Thursday
Time: 11am-4pm. Meet @ the DQ @ 11
What: Kensington. Hiking/swimming.
Bring: Lunch, water, swimming stuff
Transport: We'll use Trombone's car. If you cant ride w/ him, talk to me. We need to discuss the transport issue as a group.
Cost: $5 per car. Hence my desire to all go in Trombone's car and split the cost ($1 each-ish)

Vgames: Plan them, by all means. But find a different day. I think the group needs to discuss this at this point...

A Couple Notes

Hey guys! There's a couple points I want to make post-park, before the next event. You guys all suck at listening, so you might not know this stuff. Actually, I suck at listening too...oh well.
1) Meeting WITH Stephany in August. Probably the 7th, 13th or 14th.
2) Klovski plans on planning a Murray Lake and I plan on planning a Kensington that combines hiking and swimming. Both will likely be in July. We also need Vgames, one possibly in August when we do the meeting, another one whenever. Other summer options include the zoo, rollerskating, and whatever.
3) The group summer schedule calendar should be waiting in your email inboxes, minus Trombone's schedule since he hasn't given it to me yet. After my trip I'll send the updated version to y'all.
4) I'll send out the bermuda triangle thing at the same time I send the updated plan calendar
5) People who earned rewards for the plan calendar thing: You'll get them at the first videogame thing we have or something
6) Pictures from the park will go on facebook after my mission trip.

Mini-Golf Details!

Hi, It's Tuba here with the details.

Date: June 5th

Time: 1.30-5

Place: Sport Way Mini Golf, 38520 Ford Road, Westland MI.

What: Mini Golf! The course is really big and pirate themed. There are pictures on Google if you search "Sport Way Westland"

Price: Bring 10 dollars. There are also Go-Carts, a Batting Cage, and other things like that. If you would be at all interested, we can take a look when we are all done and decide if we want to do that too. There are separate fees for each thing, so think about that guys.

Time: 10:30am til we're bored (3ish?). MUST end by 5pm.
What: GHO in my basement. AKA Generic Hanging Out. We will be going outside for at least a portion of it, assuming it isn't raining.
Cost: $100 in creativity.Everybody is expected to come with @ least one idea of something to do. You may not copy my idea of beating each other with stuff. If everybody has ONE idea, we'll have a lot of interesting stuff to do. So please comply and actually do it.
Bring: 1) phones - there isnt' a set end time so you may need to call your parents when we're done.
2) Outside stuff, tbd by the weather
3) ANYTHING YOU WANT, literally. Sports stuff, swords, games, etc.
Food: We'll chip in $ to buy lunch; just ask me for snacks/drinks if you want em. & Martin is bringing cake.

Vgames: I don't have any. You guys can play on "my" laptop, within reason (This is not a vgame party, so dont be ridiculous w/ time)
Outside: Yes. Be ready for it. But it'll be w/i reason, just like w/ the vgames. However, mud and cold are NOT reasons not to go out. Skype: Nope. Steph has school. :(

Next Event

When: Sometime between now and Easter What: Good question. That is the subject of this post...so we're doing vgames after easter - and probably after AP testing. So no vgames unless we seriously have no other options. And the weather is ick, so no park unless that gets significantly better. And anything expensive is a resounding NO after the lockin. Any suggestions????? Suggestions so far: 1) rollerskating. 2) cards/games at someones house. 3) add comments and/or contact me with suggestions. Also with feedback on what suggestions already are listed. By the way! If anybody else would like to plan something for this monthish period THAT WOULD BE REALLY GREAT. The Next Few Things: early May: Vgames. Maybe something else too to celebrate no APs. late May: rollerskating or minigolf (both things that've been on our we-might-do-this list for 2 years). mid June: PARKPARKPARK!!!! Announcement - Videos Found

Hey guys. Long story short, when our desktop crashed and we gave it to my computer-genius brotherinlaw to salvage files, he recovered stuff that I thought died a long time ago in a different harddrive crash. These files include the videos from Stephany's goodbye party the summer between 8th and 9th grade where we were demolishing water bottles, doing the Happy Dance, and eating cake. So! The snow's all melting. And its supposed to melt more before the weekend. So. Ideas to replace the park??? If it doesn't melt we'll still go but the forecast is, uh, yeah, no. MARTIN suggests that we go play dodgeball at his friend Jim's church sponsored event thing from 1-4 Friday. I'm....not sure this would be a good idea. I love dodgeball, but it seems a little awkward to go to the church event of a friend of a friend...I dunno. Feedback please.
